Born in Lima, Peru and living in Florida for over 25 years, Patricia Filomeno is a Sarasota-based mixed media artist known for her vibrant pink flamingo art, coloring books, and murals. She graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta with an Associate of Arts degree and brings an entrepreneurial spirit to everything she creates.

In 2023, a moment of unexpected inspiration marked a turning point in Patricia’s artistic journey.
While attending a flamingo-themed event for her business, she felt an undeniable creative pull — a quiet but insistent voice telling her to start painting pink flamingos. Days later, she was back in an art supply store, sketchbook in hand, beginning what would become a new body of work.

Florida’s Pink Flamingo Coloring Book Series, imagined, created, and published by Patricia Filomeno in 2023, reflects her belief in the power of creativity as a form of relaxation, connection, and self-expression. The series celebrates Florida’s most beloved icon while inviting people of all ages to slow down, unplug, and rediscover joy through art.

Patricia is currently expanding her practice into large-scale murals, recently completing her first pink flamingo mural on a shed in Sarasota. Her mural work blends bold color, expressive linework, and organic themes, transforming everyday structures into vibrant visual statements. Each mural is designed to feel personal, site-specific, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

In addition to her personal art practice, Patricia founded Ink Graphics Media in 2009 — a creative studio dedicated to helping businesses succeed through design, branding, and visual storytelling. This entrepreneurial background deeply informs her art, blending creativity with strategy and a strong understanding of audience, space, and impact.
